Working with First Atlantic Corporation to update an existing Nursing Care facility, Ames Associates provided design services to navigate the many state and national codes and requirements necessary to realize the final building. Operating under an existing Certificate of Need, the project had to maintain a strict budget while accomplishing the required number of rooms and needed service spaces. The final product is a light-filled and contemporary update, which fits in well with the original facility. The patient wing added adjacent to the new entry porte cochere supplies space for rehab patients and makes available a small waiting /public area and additional office space for the facility Director and staff. The addition to the dining room doubles the inside seating area and allows additional natural light and ventilation into the room.
